Pelillisyys herättää ja ylläpitää motivaatiota ja saa näin ollen oppijan pysymään pelin parissa pyrkien yhä parempiin suorituksiin. Practigame tuottaa innostavia ja motivoivia oppimiskokemuksia toimimalla suunnannäyttäjänä koulutuksen pelillistämisessä. Pelillistämällä koulutusta terveydenhuollossa teemme opiskelusta entistä tehokkaampaa ja mielekkäämpää. Samalla parannamme nykyisten ja tulevien terveydenhoidon ammattilaisten ammattitaitoa.

3D Environment Artist

We expect you to know the creative pipeline from placeholder blocks to fully equipped and lighted environment and you have a thing for hand-painted texturing. You’re excellent in creating the atmosphere in the environment based on concepts & moodboards, perhaps you even make those yourself. We’d be more than thrilled if you had an ace of concepting skills in your sleeve, but if not, no worries. If the description suits you and you want to work on games with a meaning - Let’s team up!

Our pipeline consists of Maya, ZBrush, XNormal and Photoshop, but if you’re excelled in other software that covers the same tasks we’re more than happy to get you the tools you prefer.

As our products focus on healthcare education, the reference research on the job may include facing material that is considered disturbing.

Senior Artists can and are welcome to apply for the role too. The position can be tailored accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of effective high-lowpoly pipeline
  • Artistic eye for making environments tell a story and set an atmosphere
  • Experience in hand-painted texturing
  • Motivation of learning and self-improvement
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group, ability to meet deadlines
  • A portfolio that showcases the relevant skills for the role (if you feel a separate assignment would demonstrate the skills for the position better, we can agree on one instead)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

2D Artist

We’re looking for a Concept Artist/2D Artist to help build, define and communicate the visual identity of current and new Practigame products. We expect your jam to be commercial and conceptual art, be it making imagery of environments or characters. You approach early projects that have no strict instructions with enthusiasm as you get to mold and define their visual design from the very beginning. You have a great understanding of and eye for colours, light and materials. You can scope your concepts based on who/what they’re for. You enjoy working with small teams and have an open mind for tasks that may be out of your comfort zone.

We would highly appreciate some background of graphical design or experience with painting textures, yet it is not mandatory. Senior Artists can and are welcome to apply for the role too. The position can be tailored accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Great understanding of color and light, ability to render light and materials correctly
  • Eye for designing environments that tell a story and set an atmosphere
  • Eye for designing characters that show personality, good understanding of human anatomy
  • Experience in making stylized conceptual or commercial art for a game/TV-commercial or series /a film
  • Motivation of learning and self-improvement
  • Ability to scope your work accordingly based on who/what the work is for
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group, ability to meet deadlines
  • A portfolio that showcases the relevant skills for the role (if you feel a separate assignment would demonstrate the skills for the position better, we can agree on one instead)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

3D Character Animator

We are looking for a 3D Character Animator to level up our products learning experiences with us, by creating stunning and authentic movement to our current and new characters. We expect you to thrive in bringing characters to life in an established or new style and according the character’s personality. You know your character’s background like your own pockets and can imagine well how they react to things from dramatic life events to casual day-to-day conversations. You can do rough storyboards and have eye for camerawork. You do broad reference research of the subject you are animating. You have experience of animating humanoid characters, both body movement and facial animations.

Our used software for animation is Maya and our character’s facial animations are joint based, however, experience of the latter is not mandatory.

As our products focus on healthcare education, the reference research on the job may include facing material that is considered disturbing.

Senior Animators can and are welcome to apply for the role too. The position can be tailored accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Great in animating humanoid 3D characters with experience of facial animation
  • Knowledge of game animation principles
  • Understanding of human anatomy and body movement in the circumstances of the character's size, habits and health
  • Ability to do rough storyboards
  • Experience animating with Maya
  • Eye for camerawork
  • Experience working as a character animator in a project made for commercial use (a game, a cinematic trailer, a TV series/commercial or a film)
  • Motivation of learning and self-improvement
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group, ability to meet deadlines
  • A portfolio/reel showcasing the skills relevant to the role  (if you feel a separate assignment would demonstrate the skills for the position better, we can agree on one instead)

We expect you have an eye for styles and character designs, which shines through the way you create characters appealing and reflecting their concepts style and personality. Perhaps you even make character designs yourself. You’re motivated to better yourself as an artist and you’re eager to create new solutions to keep and advance a high quality for all characters across all projects. You’re familiar working with restrictions typical to game development, while making appealing art.

We’d appreciate if you had an ace of rigging and/or concepting skills in your sleeves, yet they are not required.

Our pipeline consists of Maya, ZBrush, XNormal and Photoshop, Photoshop being for texture composition. Whereas Maya knowledge is required, other mentioned softwares are not mandatory. If you’re excelled in other software that covers the same tasks we’re more than happy to get you the tools you prefer.

Unity Programmer

We are looking for Unity-skilled programmer to join our awesome team. Your skills should somewhat match our needs but if you are lacking in some area we can fix that. We will assign your jobs based on your skills and desires.

You’re motivated to improve yourself as a programmer and you’re eager to create new solutions to keep and advance a high quality code across projects. You tackle on problems with analytical approach and are ready to document the process.

Our tech stack consists of Unity, C#, MySQL, AWS, PHP, JS, VR, Git, WordPress. Whereas Unity knowledge is required, other mentioned techs are not mandatory. If you’re excelled in other techs that covers the same tasks we’re more than happy to let you use the tools you prefer.
